Idris Elba is People’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ for 2018
People magazine has named British actor Idris Elba as 2018′s Sexiest Man Alive.
The 46-year-old was announced as the 33rd hunk to receive the People magazine honor on Monday night on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” by host Jimmy Fallon.
On being named the 2018′s Sexiest Man Alive, “The Wire” and “Luther,”star told the magazine: “I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really?’” he told the magazine. “Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise — an ego boost for sure.”
He also took to his Twitter page to show his appreciation. He wrote: ‘Who’d have thought it! Thank you @people & all the fans for naming me #SexiestManAlive . I’m honoured & thankful. What’s even more important is your vote in the midterm elections. Your vote can make a difference!??’
