Injury Update: Etebo Set For Early Comeback

Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenekaro Etebo has been given a clean bill of health after the injured star has been diagnosed and treated for a mild strain on his left groin.

Fanatik reported on Tuesday that the former Getafe midfielder had visited team doctors after he cropped up the injury during Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Kasimpasa.He was then treated and told to rest for a week to avoid further complications.

In a statement released by Galatasaray, Etebo is expected back in action after the International break barring any last minutes hitches.“After the Kasımpaşa match, one of our players, Peter Etebo, had a mild strain on the right adductor (groin) muscle, while Taylan also had a strain on his left groin muscle.” Etebo will be sidelined for one week while Taylan will sit it for two weeks. Both players have been treated,” Gala said in a statement.

Etebo was eagerly expected at Super eagles camp in Austria on Monday, but the hardworking midfielder had informed NFF of his recent injury.Galatasaray signed the Super Eagles midfielder maestro on a season-long loan deal from English Championship side Stoke City after Getafe declined to extend his six months loan spell at the club.Etebo is under contract with Stoke City until 2023.
