Inter Milan Eyeing January Transfer Move For Chelsea Striker
Serie A side Inter Milan are reportedly interested in a January move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to The Sun.
Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte, who signed Giroud from Arsenal during his time as Chelsea boss, is reportedly keen on signing Giroud as backup to Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan.ADVERTISINGADS BY SUREPLAY
Giroud has started just one Premier League match this season, with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard preferring Tammy Abraham to lead the line.
The report claims Giroud might be tempted to leave Chelsea in January if he continues to play second fiddle to Abraham.
Early this month, Giroud made it clear he won’t be content with being a bench option: “I’m still hungry and have a lot of ambition.
“I don’t want to be Chelsea’s second-choice striker, for sure. Just because I’m here as an older brother for young people, it doesn’t mean I’m out on the sidelines.”
