Undetermined numbers of students from the Federal University of Gusau were kidnapped by bandits on Friday morning.
Additionally, it was reported that a huge group of the bandits broke into the Sabon-Gida hamlet in Zamfara State’s Bungudu Local Government Area.
The bandits broke into three dormitories and kidnapped every student inside.
The Nigerian Army troops allegedly engaged the bandits in a heavy gun battle, but the bandits managed to flee with the victims.
According to sources in Sabon-Gida, the gunmen broke into the neighborhood at 3am and began firing randomly.
