Earlier this morning, women of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, took to the streets of Owerri, Imo state, to demonstrate about the unknown whereabouts of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu following his disappearance from public view.

A woman fainted during the protest while they were being dispersed by the police. She was resuscitated by her fellow IPOB colleagues who came to her rescue.

The whereabouts of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has been unknown since 14th September, 2017, after Nigerian military Operation Python Dance ll was carried out in his Afara Ukwu Ibeku community in Abia state.

Meanwhile, the protest is happening a day after the Nigerian Army announced its readiness to embark on Operation Python Dance 3 in major communities in South East.

This was disclosed yesterday by the General Officer Commanding, GOC, 82 Division Nigeria Army, Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Boman Kabuk, at the 302 Artillery Regiment, (General Support) Onitsha, Anambra State, when he paid a familiarisation visit to the military cantonment, having resumed duties in Enugu on August 6, 2018.
