Six girls have been abducted by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters in Chibok community in Borno State.

A 17-year-old vigilante member identified Godwin is said to have also been killed by the terrorists who attacked the community on Sunday evening, April 17.

According to Daily Trust report, the ISWAP terrorists rode utility vehicles and motorcycles to Yimir Mugza village and opened fire, thereby forcing villagers to flee into bushes.

A top security source told the publication that the attackers carted away four vehicles, tricycles, livestock and foodstuffs.

The source said four of the abducted girls belonged to one family, and that the latest attack made it the seventh time the community had been invaded by the insurgents since 2014 when the 276 schoolgirls were taken away from Chibok.
