Jealous LAUTECH Student Stabs Her Boyfriend To Death
The Oyo State Police Command, have arrested and paraded an
undergraduate of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso,
Abiodun Olabisi, for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Lekan Adegun, to
death at their home in the Phoenix area of Ogbomosho on Wednesday,
November 21st.
The state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, who paraded her
before newsmen on Wednesday, December 12th, said Olabisi and Lekan who
is waiting for NYSC, were live-in-lovers.
On the day of the incident, they had a quarell that stemmed from
petty jealousy and this degenerated into a fight that unfortunately led
to Olabisi stabbing the deceased to death with a kitchen knife.
“The incident happened around 8pm on November 21, 2018, following a
quarrel arising from petty jealousy. The victim was later rushed to the
Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, but died before he could
be attended to. The kitchen knife used to commit the murderous act has
been recovered and the suspect has also been arraigned in court.” he
said
The police boss added that the suspect would be arraigned in court once investigation has been concluded.
