Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba has finally obtained his driver’s licence aged 31.
The Spanish international has done his fair share of racing up and down the Nou Camp turf but was a late bloomer when it comes to driving on the road.
In fact, last year Gerard Pique revealed that Alba would get lifts to training from his father Miguel every day – much like 17-year old youngster Ansu Fati – though he’s too young to drive at the moment.
“His Dad brings him. Just like Jordi Alba,” Pique said before giggling in a chat with ‘La Resistencia’, as per AS.
And Alba previously not having his license was also mocked by Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane when the two clashed in El Clasico back in December.
But it’s now emerged that the World Cup winner has passed his theory and practical tests and can now legally drive.
The former Valencia defender has splashed out on a Range Rover Sport as his first car and footage of him driving into the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training facility was shared by David Ibanez.
Now that Alba has his license and a new whip, we wonder what approach he will take if he ever has Lionel Messi in his car?
That’s because at an event hosted by Alba last year, Luis Suarez made his wife Sofia Balbi sit in the backseat- so that the six-time Ballon d’Or winner could have the front seat.
