Kelechi Nwakali’s La Liga club SD Huesca have shown strong interest in Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo.
The 26-year-old Nigeria international made 23 appearances for CD Leganes and scored one goal for the relegated outfit.
Los Pepineros were relegated to Segunda Division on the final day last season after finishing 17 in La Liga.
Omeruodoes not want to play in the second tier which could affect his chances of earning a call-up to the national team.
According to Cadena SER (via Grada 3) claim that Omeruo has now emerged as one of their prime targets Huesca.
The newly-promoted La Liga side who has a low transfer budget are targeting the key players in the demoted teams to bolster their squad.
Huesca will have to pay €5 million to secure the service Omeruo after the Super Eagles star joins Leganes permanent last term.
Omeruo, who is contracted to Leganes until June 2024, has 51 La Liga appearances under his belt.
