Kidnapped NEMA Staff Soon To Be Rescued

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said on Friday that it was endeavoring to guarantee the arrival of its kidnapped staff.

Mr Vincent Owan, Director, Disaster Risk Reduction, NEMA, revealed this while discussing with newsmen in Port Harcourt.

Owan reviewed that four of the office staff who were ordered to complete National Food Security Intervention in Rivers were stole by obscure shooters on Tuesday at Ahoada, along East-West street.

He said that the national nourishment security intercession was going on in 17 states, including Rivers.

“The mediation in the state will be suspended in light of the fact that we need to see that our staff individuals are discharged before returning to the field to proceed with the intercession program,” Owan said.

The chief said that the office felt so awful about the abduct of its staff over the span of their compassionate administration.

“The relatives of the snatched people have gotten calls from the criminals requesting pay-off before they discharge them,” the chief said.
