Late Messi Strike Salvages Draw for Inter Miami Against LA Galaxy Amid Star-Studded Crowd

A star-studded audience gathered to witness Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami face off against LA Galaxy in Sunday’s 1-1 draw, and the Argentine maestro, as expected, delivered a captivating performance.

Among the notable attendees were tennis world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, actors Halle Berry, Edward Norton, and Liv Tyler, musician Anderson Paak, footballers Tobin Heath and Christen Press, and WNBA legend Diana Taurasi, all eager to experience “Messimania” firsthand.

Despite LA Galaxy’s early history as a hub for Major League Soccer’s marquee signings following David Beckham’s arrival in 2007, it was the Serbian striker Dejan Joveljić who broke the deadlock, giving them the lead in the 75th minute.

Despite boasting a star-studded roster, which now includes talents like Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, Inter Miami found themselves outplayed for the majority of the match. It appeared they were on the verge of defeat until Lionel Messi’s intervention in the 92nd minute turned the tide.

Inter Miami received a boost when Galaxy midfielder Marco Delgado was shown a red card in the 88th minute following what seemed to be a dive by Busquets, resulting in the American receiving a second yellow card.

Despite the match being hosted by Galaxy, there was a notable eruption of cheers in the stadium as Messi scored the crucial goal. Subsequently, pockets of Argentine and Miami supporters began bowing to Messi from the stands in homage to his brilliance.
