Real Madrid suffered a humiliating defeat against Valencia on Sunday evening at the Mestalla Stadium and there was an unpleasant new about Karim Benzema who suffered a muscular problem in the area of his adductor.
Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane substituted the French ace in the second half with Mariano Diaz, Benzema felt uncomfortable with the with his left leg but despite no test having taken place, it doesn’t seem like a serious injury.
Fortunately for Real Madrid and Zidane, the injury came when the players are about to resume international duties with their respective countries, this will allow Benzema to rest for two weeks and recover to his full fitness ahead of the tight schedule ahead for the La Liga Champions.
Real Madrid will play Villarreal after the International Break and the will take a trip to Milan to face Antonio Conte’s men in the reverse fixture of the Champions League.
