Former Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Aisha Alhassan, popularly known as ‘Mama Taraba’, was ferried with her SUV on a boat earlier today.
It was gathered that the ex-minister who defected
from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to United Democratic
Party, UDP last year, had to be ferried across the river to continue
with her campaign ahead of the election due to inaccessible road in the
community in Taraba state.
Her convoy which had strong security
presence, was also ferried on the wooden boat as the villagers welcomed
her to their place joyfully after crossing the river.
