Man Arraigned In Court In A Cage Reveals How He Killed Victim And Ate Body Parts (Photos)

Arkady Zverev killed and ate the 12-year-old schoolgirl

A Paedophile cannibal has admitted gouging out the eye of his victim then boiling it in a pan and eating it with his 12 year old schoolgirl “lover”. Arkady Zverev, 22, also confessed to a court in Russia to putting the severed head of murdered Alexander Popovich, 21, in a microwave and turning it on the highest setting for three minutes.

Zverev then calmly told the court how he then tucked into cooked brains.

But he pleaded with the judge from a metal cage at a custody hearing at Kirovsky District Court near St Petersburg to banish reporters from the hearing, declaring: “I do not want fame.”

The court went into closed session because of the young age of  his alleged accomplice, who state investigators say took part in killing and eating Popovich.

A pale and dishevelled Zverev was detained in custody for two months to allow further investigations of the macabre case in which he has confessed to axing and dismembering his victim.

Valeria was remanded in a hospital for one month for psychiatric tests, reported 47news.ru

She is below the age of criminal responsibility and will not face charges.

Zverev faces charges of murder, abusing a dead body and s-x with a minor, say law enforcement officials.

Reports emanating from officials at the closed hearing revealed how Zverev told the  judge he had seen the brains of his “previous girlfriend” after she “fell out of a window” and died hitting the pavement.

Since then he had been “curious about the taste” of brains, he told the judge. He also claimed he had been on holiday in Black Sea resort Sochi and took Valeria away from her home city to St Petersburg after she told him she had fallen out with her parents.

They used an online carpooling service to drive 1500 miles – avoiding train or plane checks on why he was travelling with an underage girl. The duo then moved to a village after Popovich – who they met in a  KFC restaurant – offered them a cheap rent.He claimed there was a dispute over money after which they killed, dismembered and ate some body parts.

The girl’s mother has refused to travel to St Petersburg to see her in the

wake of the murder and cannibalism reports, say the media.

It’s said she beheaded the man with an axe, butchered off his arms and severed his head in a microwave in their flat. Zverev claims he was the first to stab Popovich in a row over rent. After he allegedly helped tear apart the victim’s body, Zverev tried to escape with the youngster but police raced to the flat and arrested them.

 

Cops were alerted by neighbours who had heard the row and blood-curdling screams.

The girl is below the age of criminal responsibility and will not face charges, law enforcement officials have made clear.
