Premier league giants, Manchester United are preparing a huge bid for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez, according to reports.
The Red Devils signed Edinson Cavani on transfer deadline day in a free transfer but would like a younger option to complete the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
Martinez, 23, fits that mode but they will have to contend with Barcelona for the Argentine. The Catalan giants were strongly linked with the forward but could not come to an agreement with Inter over a move.
Meanwhile, a recent report claimed that Chelsea had made an attempt to sign Martinez, but he doesn’t want a move to Stamford Bridge leaving the door open for Manchester United.
According to reports in Spain, Man United are considering a big-money offer for the Argentine, who has scored 33 times in 88 appearances for Inter since arriving from Racing Club in July 2018.
Martinez has begun the 2020-21 campaign on good form, scoring three times in four Serie A appearances and has a contract with Inter Milan until June 2023.
