Manchester United are set to enter the race to sign Real Valladolid youngster Mohammed Salisu, as questions over Victor Lindelof’s ability persist.
The Swedish centre-back, who signed a contract extending his deal to 2024, has been the favoured man to partner club captain Harry Maguire under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign, but club chiefs are still unconvinced.
The Old Trafford side want to add competition for Lindelof this summer, and they are already making contact with Real Valladolid over Salisu, according to ESPN.
He hasn’t missed a game since, and despite languishing four points above relegation in 15th, Valladolid have conceded the least goals in the bottom-half thanks to Salisu’s performances.
