Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has joined the race to sign Manchester United target Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid.
Saul has been on the radar of Manchester United before the outbreak of coronavirus, the Red Devils were negotiating for a deal with the Atletico Madrid midfielder before football was brought to a sudden halt.
Premier League Champions Manchester City was also linked with a move for the Spanish midfielder, who came through the ranks at Atletico and has been at the club since 2008.
Manchester City is keen on bolstering their midfield options with David Silva aiming to quit at the end of the current campaign.
The Spain midfielder has a nine-year contract with Atletico Madrid, a contract which will run till the summer of 2026 with a release clause of £132m.
