Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure reshuffles the cards for Manchester United. If players with less playing time like Donny van de Beek, Dean Henderson, Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly, Alex Telles or Diogo Dalot hope to play more often, Jesse Lingard still wants to leave the Red Devils, indicates the Daily Mail.
The England international criticized the Norwegian coach for not keeping his promise to play him more often than last season. But he is not on better terms with the executives, who have offered him a contract extension with less than his current salary. The link is therefore severed and although Solskjaer is no longer in office, the future of Lingard, under contract until June 2022, seems to be written far from Old Trafford.
