“Motor Boy” Who Stole Six-wheel Truck Sent To Jail [See Details]

Rasheed Kareem, 36 has been condemned to a half year in jail by a judge court in Isolo for stealing Dangote truck tires worth N160,000.

Kareem, who used to be a motor boy at Dangote Cement Depot Industries, an company overseen by one Mrs. Khadijat Rasheed situated at Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Ilasamaja, Lagos, supposedly stole the two spare tyres of one of the company’s six-wheel trucks with the registration number AGL803XA, the vehicle which he had driven to Kwara State with the goal of selling it in Kogi State.

According to the prosecutor, Inspector Oje Uagbale, Kareem was intercepted by men of Oro Police Station, Kwara State, in the wake of being informed about a missing truck from Lagos.

Uagbale clarified that the timely intercession of the police led to Kareem’s arrest and consequent arraignment at the magistrate court on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

He said Mrs. Rasheed had complained to the police at Ilasamaja police headquarters about her truck which was absent on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, expressing that the police in a flash sent the information crosswise over to all divisions and that Kareem was along these lines gotten with the truck by officers of Oro Division, Kwara State.

The accused admitted that he had before sold the two extra tires at Shagamu, Ogun State and that he expected to sell the truck in Kogi State.

Pleading guilty to the stealing charges; contrary and punishable under session 287 of the Lagos State of Law, 2015, the Magistrate, Hon. Olufunmilayo Teluwo, sentenced Kareem to six months imprisonment without an option of bail.
