My Music Doesn’t Have To Talk About Boobs, S3x – Veteran Rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem

Popular Veteran rapper,  Eedris Abdulkareem has disclosed that the music he makes doesn’t have to have s3x, boobs undertone for it to sell.

In an interview with The Nation, the rapper spoke on why he chose to make only conscious Afrobeat tunes.

“I do conscious music, my music must not talk about booty, boobs, or sex; my music must have value if it’s not adding value I’m not doing it,
” he said.

The former member of the defunct hip hop group, Remedies, also took a swipe at the happenings in Kaduna state, in his recently released his seventh studio album, ‘Nothing but the truth’.

During the album listening party in Lagos, Abdulkareem noted that the album is a wake-up call to political leaders all over the country concerning the killings and injustice happening in the country.

On the 16 track album is ‘Kaduna,’ a song that reflects on the recent killings in the state. Frowning at killings in the state, Abdulkareem said;

“I think that the governor of Kaduna should quickly wake up and protect the people of Kaduna before it gets too late. So he doesn’t come out in 2023 and tell us he wants to be a president, you are not a nationalist if you can’t protect your state.”

The ‘Jaga Jaga’ star also dived into the current Edo state crisis with the track, ‘Edo’ on the album. He said, “If you truly want to be part of what is happening in Edo state, come back to Nigeria, no stay for Europe day make noise.”

Abdulkareem also has other songs that include ‘Mama Africa,’ which dedicated to his late mother, Captain Hosa, Europe, Say no to rape, Country hard, Hushpuppies, The movie (episode sowore), Campus, Way forward, Omo luwabi, Roll, Yoruba ronu, and Arewa and Ojoro.
