New Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers is delighted after making his international debut in Nigeria 1-1 scored draw with Tunisia.

The 25-year-old trained with Belgium U21 national team in March 2015 before a European Championship qualifier vs Moldova but was an unused substitute, paving the way to pledge his allegiance to the three-time Africa Champions.

Dessers was close to making his debut for Super Eagle but the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic stop the Genk star from taking to the pitch in the green-and-white colours back in March.

Former Heracles Almelo star took his social media to celebrate his new international feat after replacing captain Ahmed Musa with 18 minutes left to play at the Jacques Lemans Arena.

Proud and honoured to represent a big football nation like Nigeria.

Next up for Nigeria are the doubleheader Afcon qualifying games against Sierra Leone next month.
