After failing in the bid to successfully lure Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka to play for the Super Eagles, a fresh round of battle is looming between Nigeria and England football officials for another Arsenal youngster.

This time, the new bone of contention is Arsenal’s teenage goalkeeper, Ovie Ejeheri, according to Skysports.

The 17-year-old born in Greenwich, England, but to Nigerian and Ugandan parents.

Ejeheri currently plays for Arsenal’s U-18 side, and the English FA are said to be keeping a close eye on him having shown great potentials in-between the sticks for the Young Gunners.

However, according to reports, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Ugandan FA are also monitoring his developments at Arsenal.

While Ejeheri does not look like one that would be fast-tracked to the main national team the Super Eagles, there have been growing concerns lately that the Super Eagles is now been dominated by players from the diaspora.

Recall, the NFF tried to convince Saka to represent Nigeria, but the Arsenal winger eventually represented the Three Lions.

While Saka chose England, another Arsenal product. Alex Iwobi decided to play for three-time African champions, Nigeria.
