Nigerian Medical Association, NMA Gives Security Agencies a Three-Day Expirement Date To Find Kidnapped Doctor In Kogi

The Kogi State Chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) has given security forces 72 hours to find one of its members, Dr. Austin Uwumagbe, who was abducted on Tuesday.

At around half past eight on Tuesday night, unidentified gunmen allegedly arrived and drove Dr. Uwumagbe away from his facility, Victory facility-Annex, in Ogaminana, Adavi Local Government Area. He was then reportedly kidnapped shortly after.

Friday in Lokoja, the Association’s Chairman, Dr. Baoku Olusola, emphasized the union’s concern during a news conference. He stated that starting on Monday, the association will go on an indefinite strike if security forces are unable to free Dr. Uwumagbe.
