Nigerian writer, Vincent Desmond has revealed things didn’t go down well in his house after he made it public that he’s gay.
According to him, when his mother found out, she attempted to get him arrested.
Desmond, who writes for Reuters, British Vogue, among other publications, made the revelation in a tweet on Saturday, January 2.
“Every now and then I remeber that when I came out as gay to my mum she tried to get me arrested.” he wrote.
Homosexuality carries a prison sentence in Nigeria.
