Following the passing of Mohbad, a petition to outlaw the record company Naira Marley’s Marlian Music Records has amassed close to 50,000 signatures.
Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Music who died just over a year after his contentious breakup with the company controlled by Naira Marley, inspired this petition.
The musician asserted that Naira Marley, the head of the record label, and his men threatened to murder him while he was still alive.
You may recall that Mohbad’s passing was declared to be real on Tuesday, September 10, 2023. It’s still unknown what caused his death.
The police revealed that they had started looking into Mohbad’s death on Thursday.
Angry admirers are starting a petition to outlaw Marlian Records, the late singer’s former record label.
