Mesut Ozil’s future at Arsenal is reportedly looking uncertain with the club yet to offer the playmaker an extension on his contract which expires in 2021.

The 31-year-old has 20 months remaining on his contract at the Emirates, a deal which sees him earn £350,000-a-week.

The German was told he could leave last summer after falling out of favour under Unai Emery.

Ozil ultimately stayed put and regained his place in the side after new manager Mikel Arteta took charge in December.

However, he has just one goal and three assists to his name this term and ESPN claim the club’s hierarchy have not changed their stance.

They are yet to open talks over prolonging the World Cup winner’s stay in north London – heightening the possibility he could either leave either at the end of this season or on a free transfer once his existing deal expires.
