A family quarrel has escalated into serious panic in Ozubulu area of Anambra state. It was gathered that some security men of OVS (Ozubulu vigilante service) allegedly killed a man following a family problem.
According
to the reports, two brothers were having a misunderstanding on
Wednesday, January 23rd, but were later reconciled by their kinsmen.
Then
by 2 am the next day, the vigilante operatives landed at the compound
of the deceased who was a student of the Nigerian army school in Kaduna
but just returned home for a visit.
It was gathered that the OVS
was called into the family dispute and one of them allegedly shot the
victim three times as he reportedly died on his way to the hospital.
The
angry youths set the security vehicles on fire at the office of the
OVS. The houses of some of the members of the OVS were also set on fire
which could be seen from the neighboring village.
