The move comes as Pep Guardiola addresses an injury-hit squad that has struggled since the start of the season. Reflecting on the limited summer activity, which saw only Savinho and Ilkay Gündogan arrive, Guardiola admitted he should have greenlit more signings to strengthen his team.
