Popular Singer Reveals Why She Stopped Bleaching Her Skin

Popular Ghanaian singer, Mzbel has opened up on why she stopped bleaching her skin. 

According to her, she started bleaching her skin after thinkingt she was ugly and dirty because she was black, but overtime realized her mistakes.

 Mzbel said she suffered horrible side effects years later because of the decision she hinged on “self-hate”. She wrote: 

“I used to think I was ugly, I thought being black is dirty, so I took to skin bleaching and suffered horrible side effects years later.

But that is the result of self-hate.I shared my story and got help, now I’ve learned to say: “You know what? I am a beautiful black woman”
