Prime Minister Calls Higuain ‘Mercenary’ After Move To Chelsea, Warns Him Not To Come Back To AC Milan.

Gonzalo Higuain has been labelled a “mercenary” by Italy’s deputy Prime Minister. Matteo Salvini, who is a right-wing politician and also interior minister, is a staunch AC Milan fan.

He has blasted Higuain’s move to Chelsea and told him: Don’t come back to Milan.

The Blues striker ended a loan spell at the Serie A side to move to Maurizio Sarri’s Blues earlier this month, and provided glimpses of what is to come against in the win against Sheffield Wednesday.

But Salvini does not want him ever to return.

He told RTL radio: “I’m glad that Higuain has gone. I hope we’ll never see him again in Milan because he really behaved in an unworthy manner.

“I don’t like mercenaries in politics or football.”

Salvini previously blasted Higuain after the striker was sent off against Juventus.

The politician said: “I am embarrassed by our centre-forward’s behaviour. It was unworthy of the club.”

Higuain, 31, scored eight goals in 22 games while on loan at Milan in the first half of the season.
