Recent rumours have also said PSG will sell one of their star pairing in order to avoid possible Financial Fair Play sanctions, although the club have strongly denied that is the case.
It looked although it may have been left to Mbappe to fire PSG to victory in their Champions League clash with Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday.
But with Neymar now set to pass a late fitness test to feature, Mbappe has revealed their relationship is growing on and off the pitch.
“It is up to us to step it up and show that we can play better than what we have shown so far,” Mbappe said.
“I am getting along better and better with Neymar. Tomorrow he’ll show all the quality he has in order to help us win.”
A win in Belgrade will see PSG secure their spot in the last 16, regardless of how Liverpool’s clash with Napoli at Anfield unfolds.
PSG sit second in the group standings, trailing Napoli by a point but two ahead of Liverpool, who face a huge game in their attempt to progress.
