Funke Akindele celebrated her birthday with a praise-worship-themed celebration that included gospel musician Tope Alabi, family, and friends in attendance.
She also inundated her verified Instagram profile with gorgeous photographs.
However, 51-year-old Ramsey Nouah chose not to congratulate the actress on social media as many others did because she was unable to attend her birthday celebration.
While many people might have interpreted his words in their own ways, Ramsey has acknowledged that his failure to wish the actress well was the result of an unintentional blunder.
The acclaimed filmmaker wrote her a heartfelt apology and happy belated birthday note as an act of penance.
Ramsey Nouah wrote:
“Happy belated birthday @funkejenifaakindele
I apologize for missing it but better late than never right? Have a great year, sister!”.
