Casademont Zaragoza (Liga Endesa) signed 26-year old Nigerian-American guard Rasheed Sulaimon (193-86kg-94, college: Maryland). He is the second import player in the roster as German Robin Benzing signed here earlier.
Sulaimon played last season at JDA Dijon Bourgogne in French Jeep ELITE ProA. In 15 Basketball Champions League games he had 13.4ppg, 2.1rpg, 3.3apg and 1.4spg. He also played 23 games in French Jeep ELITE ProA where he recorded 12.5ppg, 3.2rpg, 3.5apg and 1.3spg. Sulaimon helped them to win the cup. A very impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-French ProA 2nd Team.
The previous (18-19) season he played at Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans (French Jeep ELITE ProA) in France. In 19 games he averaged 8.5ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.7apg.
Sulaimon has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Sulaimon represented USA at the World Championships U19 in Prague (Czech Republic) seven years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 9 games: 8.4ppg, 2.8rpg, FGP: 37.1%, 3PT: 40.5%, FT: 55.6%.
Sulaimon has played also professionally in NBA G League (Greensboro Swarm).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted HS Guy V. Lewis Greater Houston Player of the Year back in 2012 at his college time.
He attended University of Maryland until 2016 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.
