Real Madrid is not happy with Villarreal’s management of Japanese starlet Takefusa Kubo after the playmaker was continuously denied playing time.

Kubo was a hot demand from many teams across La Liga and Europe at the end of the season after they learnt he was available on loan by Real Madrid.

The likes of Granada, Real Betis, Sevilla, Getafe, Ajax, AC Milan and Bayern Munich were all interested for his service but a call from Unai Emery convinced Real Madrid to consider Villarreal’s offer for the youngster.

According to a report in Cadena Ser Real Madrid’s management is furious with how Villarreal is using the Japanese playmaker. The club received the most offers for Kubo of any player this summer.

Real Madrid expects the situation to change soon but if it persists the Los Blancos management would intervene and could cancel the loan deal in January much as they did for Andriy Lunin and Jorge De Frutos last season.

Emery is a defensive-minded manager and he wants stability over other styles while Kubo is an offensive player and he is yet to convince the former Arsenal manager as per his defensive qualities.

Real Madrid will keep an eye on Kubo’s development and would be hopeful that there is a turn around for the playmaker.
