Real Madrid is aiming to sign a cover-up for Casemiro as they are
presented with two options to get the Brazilian defensive midfielder a
cover-up.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has tried some of his players in the holding role but none has excel in that role.

Federico Valverde was tried in the role but he failed, the Uruguayan is more comfortable playing in further up the field.

Casemiro is one of Real Madrid best player over the past season and
he has played racked up 3,120 minutes for Real Madrid so far this
season, split between 35 games in all competitions.
Toni Kroos and Luka Modric have also fallen short in that role.

Real Madrid is considering signing Rennes’ 17-year-old prodigy
Eduardo Camavinga or to promote Castilla defensive midfielder Antonio
Blanco who has a similar quality to the Brazilian defensive midfielder.

The 19-year-old is strong defensively, is good on the ball and is
fantastic in terms of his tactical understanding, but perhaps it is too
risky to promote him to the first team at this stage but Camavinga is a
player who could not only help cover Casemiro but may end up being
better than Brazilian in the future.
