OrderPaperToday – The House of Representatives has ordered Capital Oil Nigeria Limited to pay the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) the sum of N9billion of the outstanding N11billion worth of petroleum products that reportedly went missing at the company’s oil farm.
The House also resolved that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) should investigate the claim that NNPC allegedly owes Capital Oil N16billion.
The green chamber also ordered that the company should be reopened to save jobs of the employees of the company.
The House also ordered the reinstatement of the sacked Managing Director, NNPC Retails, Esther Nnamdi Ogbue, because “she offered to loan PPMC, a sister company under NNPC 20million litres of PMS when there was imminent fuel scarcity.”

It would be recalled that in February 2017, an alarm that about 84million litres of petroleum products belonging to the NNPC worth about N11billion stored in a private tank farm in Lagos had disappeared.

The matter was referred to Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) following the adoption of a motion moved by Tajudeen Yusuf (PDP, Kogi).
