Almeria forward Umar Sadiq is in the running for Spanish Segunda Division Player of the Month award for February, reports Completesports reports.
The Nigeria international scored five goals in four league appearances for the Rojiblancos in the month.
Sadiq will battle Eibar’s Jose Corpas and Jaime Seoane of Huesca for the individual award.
The forward is the favourite to win the award ahead of Corpas and Seoane.
The 25-year-old has scored 13 goals in 24 league appearances for Almeria this season.
He has picked the Player of the Month award once this season.
