Ahead of the judgment of the Supreme Court on the review of the Imo governorship election which has been fixed for March 2, Professor Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) has said it is likely that the judges will maintain their position just as they did in the case of the Bayelsa review.

The Supreme Court last week upheld its decision on the Bayelsa governorship election sacking David Lyon, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

However, in Imo, Emeka Ihedioha, a former governor of the state is seeking a review of the judgment which removed him from office.
The judges had also ordered Hope Uzodinma, the APC candidate to be sworn in as the governor of the state.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Sagay said “I don’t expect any difference from what happened in the Bayelsa case. The Supreme Court is likely to maintain its position”.
