In Nigeria, male infertility accounts for 40% to 50% of infertility problems. Male infertility can occur because of low sperm count, heat, illnesses, health issues, injuries and one’s lifestyle.

Often times a man is not aware that he is infertile until he is not able to impregnate a woman despite having sexual relations.

Infertility is often associated with a reduced sexual urge, pains or swelling in the testicle area, breast growth and abnormal inability to smell.

To help with this problem, a group of medical researchers from Poland have created a cooler to keep a man’s swimmers safe. The product is called CoolMen. Just as its name, it cools the testicles using the right temperature.

All it requires is that you strap it and cover your swimmers in a cup-shaped holder.

The idea is that it deals with the main cause of male infertility, which is low sperm quality and sperm production most often associated with high temperatures in the testes.

It is clear that one of the major causes of infertility is heat. As such, a man is required to wear the product for 16 hours a day for 3 weeks so that the ideal environment is balanced out. Luckily, the product can treat varicoceles (enlarge veins within the scrotum)

At the moment, it is sold for N130,538 (£280).
