Super Eagles striker Simmy Nwankwo and his Crotone teammates may be heading back to the Serie B if things continue the way they are going presently.
In their eighth game since gaining promotion back to the top flight on Saturday, Corotone lost 0-2 at their Stadio Ezio Scida home ground yet again.
While Simmy fired blanks for Crotone in Saturday’s tie, it was Ciro Immobile who scored on his comeback before Joaquin Correa squeezed in a finish from the tightest angle, as Lazio earned a 2-0 win in awful weather conditions in the away game.
This is the sixth defeat of the season for Cortone as they have managed just two draws in their other games.
They have just two points and are rooted at the bottom of the log.
