Serie A is preparing to restart, after having been put on hold since March 9 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Understandably, there would be several factors to take note of if this is to occur.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Serie A have organised the return to action by putting in a plan to shield training grounds for three weeks.

The Italian government will receive the document made by the Italian Football Federation’s Medical Commission this Saturday, with the contribution of experts in the sector, for the restart [of football],” Gazzetta explain.

The president of the Federation, Gabriele Gravina, would insist, according to the newspaper, on returning to the pitch “at the end of May”.

Roberto Speranza, the country’s Health Minister, and Vicenzo Spadafora, Italy’s Sports Minister, will receive the plan for the return of Italian football, but it is still not guaranteed to return in every region of Italy.

According to Gazzetta, the matches would be played in the “centre and south of Italy”, which have been comparatively less affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
