If Roma can’t agree a deal with Manchester United for Chris Smalling, it’s reported the defender will be offered to Juventus and Inter for €18m.
The centre-back has been a revelation in his debut Serie A season, with player and club stating they would like to continue together after the loan has expired.
However, Roma are struggling to agree terms with Manchester United for a permanent transfer, with reports they could try to extend the loan with obligation to buy, allowing them to pay over several years.
Another alternative is for Smalling to remain in Serie A for a different club entirely.
According to LaRoma24.it, intermediaries have been telling Juventus and Inter that they could sign Smalling for €18m from Manchester United this summer, if the Giallorossi cannot agree a deal first.
The 30-year-old England international has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
