Smuggling Of Petrol Soars Amid Scarcity
According to a report by The Nation, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) yesterday said there was large scale smuggling of petrol through land borders with neighbouring countries such as Republic Benin.
But he said the Service will do everything possible to check the smugglers.
Speaking with reporters in Lagos yesterday, the Acting Controller, Federal Operation Unit Zone ‘A’ Lagos, Mr Hussein Ejibunu said the unit seized over 36,000 liters of petrol and other prohibited goods worth over N587million in February.
