Spartak Moscow manager Domenico Tedesco has told Victor Moses to brace-up for this weekend’s clash against FC Rostov.
Fielding questions from reporters ahead of the encounter, Tedesco said the Nigerian is a sure bet to start against Rostov after the former Chelsea winger stepped up training to regain full fitness.Tedesco revealed that the former Fenerbahce star embarked on extra training during the week and will be ready to lead the club’s onslaught against Rostov.
“Sobolev is already training with the team. Moses is also in the group. After training, he also did additional work. Perhaps he can play more in the upcoming match.“Nevertheless, everything must be done carefully in order to avoid the risk of injury.” he told championat.com. Spartak will be aiming to consolidate on its leadership role in the Russian Premier League and open up the gap when they face Rostov on Saturday at the Otkrytie Arena stadium in Moscow.
Spartak are first on the log with 27 points from 12 matches and are closely followed by arch-rival, CSKA with 25 points. The reigning champion Zenit are third on the log with 24 points.
