[STORY]:- My Fate, My Destiny – Episode 11

When Bayo left me that night I didn’t see him for two days. I was sick with worry. His phone was not going through. I tried yinka’s line it was not connecting either. Could something bad had happened to him?

He warned me not to go anywhere without him. I have been waiting patiently for him but I couldn’t reach him. Even Richard his friend didn’t know his were about.
The third day came yet no news from Bayo. This was unlike him. “Richard we need to look for Bayo”. I said. Christy agreed with me.

Richard went out for 6 hours came back and told us Bayo was not at his house or at his family house neither was he at his usual favorite spots.
We became really scared, what could have happened to him.
“I need to find him” I announced to Richard and christy. “But were else cayou search for him” Richard said. “I can’t just seat down here and do nothing” I replied.

My phone rang and I rushed to pick the call hoping it was Bayo. “Hello, hello who is on the line” there was silent on the other end “hello anyone there” I heard footsteps and a harsh voice said “if you want to see your boyfriend again, you would get me the documents on your fathers safe before midnight tomorrow”
Before I could ask any questions the line was dead. I became frantic. “Oh my God, they have Bayo, they wanted me dead and now they have Bayo” I cried. “They will kill him if I don’t give them what they wanted, we have to save Bayo”

I couldn’t stop talking, Richard and christy were also in shock. Richard spoke first “we need to have a plan, we can’t give them any documents till we know for sure Bayo is with them. Stillwe need to see him before we give them anything”
“Let’s wait for their call before we go out to get whatever is in that safe” christy said.

I just sat quietly for what seemed like ages before my phone rang. “Hello” I said impatiently. The voice said ” by tomorrow 9pm get the documents to the address outside your front door” Richard ran to the front door and right there was a piece of paper with the address on it. “Don’t play any dirty game with me because your boyfriend would end up dead” the voice continued “how do we know he has not been harmed by you” I asked “Just get me what I want and you will see him again” he replied. ” “Allow me speak to him ple……” before I could finish my sentence the line was dead.

“Something is fishy” Richard said, why won’t he allow us speak with Bayo. “What next” I asked.

“Let’s get the police involved Bayo’s life might be at risk, the police would be at the address while we get contents of the safe. Then we go to the address hopefully the police would apprehend them before we get there” Richard said.
“I don’t think its a very good idea” christy said “since we don’t have a better plan I think we should do as Richard said”.

We got the police involved, they would be at the delivery point to await the kidnappers before we got there.
Early the next day, we went to the bank. I Was directed to the deposit safe Box section. I was with my Dad’s keys so I just told them his name and was directed to his box.

The keyhole was small, so I tried the smaller keys. The first key couldn’t open the safe but the second one did.
I saw a big folder, removed it kept it in the bag I came with and was out in few minutes.

Richard and christy were waiting outside, when I got to them, christy said “we need to go through the contents before we go to that address” we all agreed and were walking to our car to head back home when a black jeep blocked our exit.

Men in black came out with heavy guns. One of them dragged the bag containing the file from my hands and the other pulled Bayo from the car and tossed him on the ground. The bigger man among them said “we changed our plans when we discovered you involved the police. You are lucky our Boss wanted you alive you would have been dead this instant” with that they entered the jeep and left.

The exchange was so short that only few people noticed. I rushed to Bayo, he was not moving. “Bayo” I screamed.
