[STORY]:- My Fate, My Destiny – Episode 13

Bayo was discharged the next day. We brought him over to Richard’s house so we can take good care of him.
After two days rest Bayo announced that we should get on with the investigation. He wanted me to involve the police so they can re-open my parents murder case but I refused. We didn’t have enough evidence.

Though I had few documents stating the fact that they were murdered because of an information in their possession. But I have no idea what the information was or who was responsible.

I told them we needed more information before we can go to the police. Everyone agreed after a while. They were scared for my safety but I didn’t care. All I want was justice to be served to those responsible.

One day, on my way to the market to get some food stuffs. I discovered Ijeep. Ever since Bayo’s incidence I was careful, I watched every street corner, every cars and faces around me. But I didn’t see anything suspicious until this particular day.

The jeep was in a safe distance away but I knew it was that same jeep I saw at the Bank. Since I was driving Richard’s car and no one was with me I decided to go through busy routes.

I knew they would corner me if they get the chance so I drove through major road. I made a U-turn to see if they would follow me. I wanted to be sure it was them. Just as I knew they would, they followed me.

I didn’t know how to loose them, I was not a good driver yet so I couldn’t drive too fast. They seem to know I had discovered them because they increased their speed and were driving closely behind me. I was scared and didn’t know what to do. My hand was shaking I wanted to pick my phone and call Bayo when I heard a BANG.

They hit me from behind, I lost control of the wheels, it started spinning and spinning, I was screaming JESUS and trying to get a grip on the wheel. I slammed the brake when I saw a big truck coming at me from the right lane.

I was suppose to be in the left lane but somehow the car was spinning out of control.
Everything became silent, I was waiting for the impact of the truck, that might kill me. I was in shock because I didn’t realize on time that the car had stopped very close to coming in contact with the truck. I Could hear people speaking “she is very lucky, she could have been killed” someone opened my door and I came out of the car.

When I saw how close the truck was to my car I knew God had rescued me. I looked around but didn’t see any black jeep.
I called Richard and Bayo.

They camein no time, Settled with the Road safety and we were on our way home. I told them what happened, this time Bayo was furious, “how can they toy with human lives like this” he said. “When I find them they would regret ever putting you at risk” he said to me. I pleaded with him to calm down.

Christy made an important observation that gave me hope of finding the criminals. “I don’t think they have the right document, that’s why they came back for you”.

Immediately I knew she was right, they think I have the real documents that’s why they wanted me dead. This also mean that both Richard,christy and Bayo were all in Danger because the bad guys might think they now know the truth. And unfortunately non of us do.

“I have to go to the bank today in fact now” I announced, they all disagreed but I stood my ground “the bad guysmade an attempt on my life today, they won’t try it twice in one day. That is why I think today is the perfect day to get the evidence” I said to them.

Bayo stood up ” I’ll come with you, no arguments”. Richard and christy also agreed to go with me.
We went to the bank. I requested to see the manager. While in his office, I told him to show me all the safe belonging to my Dad. I was surprised he told me it was just one. I told him it was not possible because I had a second key to another safe. He went through his file again and came up with a second name. J.P OKON

He told me my dad had a joint deposit box with Jp okon. I was happy because my instinct told me I had finally found what I came here for.
Bayo and I went to the safe and withdrew all that was inside which include: an audio tape, 3 video cassette and some documents titledCONFIDENTIAL: A PROPERTY OF BUTLER AND SHEFILED INT.
And another file was found containing land and property documents. Richard flipped through the contents of the file, each time his eyes grew bigger and bigger. “What is it” I asked.

“I think you are very Rich” Bayo said to me when he glanced through the papers. “How Rich” I asked
“you are worth Millions love, maybe even Billions”.
How would happy react if she discovers her parent’s killers?
