At least six persons, including two students of Nneoma Secondary School, Otolo Nnewi, have been reported dead and several others sustained various degrees of injuries in multiple auto accidents that occurred in the early hours of Thursday, February 21, along Akwudo Junction in Nnewi, Anambra State.
Anaedooline correspondent reported that
a soakaway truck collided with a truck carrying gallons of palm oil.
The small truck was then crashed into another big truck conveying
varieties of brands of the Nigerian Breweries beer parked by the
roadside along the junction.
The driver of the small
truck carrying gallons of red oil, who was identified as Ugochukwu from
Ndiakwu Otolo Nnewi, with another woman seated at the passenger side,
died instantly. Two other students of Nneoma Secondary School, Nnewi,
who were crossing the place on foot, were also crushed.
