‘Taraba Police Killings: Soldiers Are Trained To Kill’ — Army Colonel

Colonel Hassan Stan Labo in a interview with Channels TV, explained how the Nigerian operates and how their training looks like.

In
what looks like a “defence” for the soldiers that perpetrated the
killings of 3 officers of the Intelligence Response Team of the police
led by ASP Felix Adolije along the Ibi -Jalingo Road while taking a
kidnap kingpin , Wadume, to the Command Headquarters in Jalingo .

The
three officers – Inspector Mark Ediale , Sergeants Usman Danzumi,
Dahiru Musa and a civilian – died as a result of gunshot injuries.

Colonel
Hassan Stan Labo who’s now retired while explain the tactical nature of
the Nigerian Army, bolded it that they trained to kill.

Recall
that, the Nigerian Army had claimed that the soldiers fired at the IRT
team because they failed to stop at three checkpoints , but this was
dismissed by the police which demanded the whereabouts of the kidnap
suspect who was allegedly freed by the soldiers .

The police had while condemning the incident,
accused the army of lying over its claim that the killing was a mistake.

However,
the army said the police was making “inciting and inflammatory”
comments over the incident. It warned of a possible escalation of the
crisis.
