A lot of people do think that being busy means you are hardworking and it will make you to be more successful in life. Though, this assumption may be real to some degree but it most times result to unjustified productivity, continues need to get something done and a propensity to waste time on common task.

Managing my time is not about congesting as many tasks into my day as possible. It’s about reducing the way I work, the way I do things faster and how I relief stress.

Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the number of hours per day that were given to Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga, Femi Otedola, and Folorunsho Alakija.

There are enough hours in a day for everything you’d like to do. Just that it takes a bit of rearranging and re-visualizing to find them. Always be thinking and ask yourself if you can do that thing more efficiently.

Do you find it difficult to manage your time effectively? If yes, the below steps are for you, study and follow it.

1. Create a time review

In time management, the first step you need to take is finding out were your time really goes. Creating a time review help you to be able to calculate how you use your time each day. You can also get Apps like Rescuetime or My App calendar into any device to track everything you do in a week

2.  Complete Most Important Task First.

This is one of the best rules of time management. Single out the most important tasks to complete each day and do them first. Once you are done, you’ve finished the essential aspect of the day and that has already made your day to be a success. You can move on to other things or you let them wait until the next day.

3.  Dedicate Your Entire Focus On The Task At Hand.

Put your whole concentration on this one task. Nothing else should exist. Soak yourself in it. Find a quiet place; listen to music if that helps you. Effective management of time is an ability desired by so many people but only few have it.

4. Set Clear Goal.

Setting a clear goal is very important when it comes to effective time management. Most people think that they already know what they want, even if they haven’t set goals down on paper. If this is the case then you are wrong because setting clear goals on paper is remarkably different from just setting them in your head. If you are engaged in indifferent goal setting then you’re less likely to have a good handle on your time management.

Set your goal by deciding exactly what you want, when you want it, and why you want it.

5. Cancel Procrastination.

Procrastination is termed the silent killer and one of the biggest hindrances to our goals. We all say that we want to accomplish some certain things in a particular time but sometimes we find it difficult, because procrastination seems to be around every single corner. Note that you need to be completely aware of what needs to be done in order to find a way around procrastination.

6. Define a Time Limit In Which To Complete a Task.

Instead of thinking that you must complete a particular project before any other thing, try to set time to complete a particular task. The time pressure will push you to focus and be more efficient.

As we all know we have 24 hours in a day. Have you ever ask yourself why is it that some people are able to get the most out of every minute of the day? Just like you they don’t have the power to slow down time. However they know how to properly manage their time.
