Tiwa Savage is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on February 5, 1980, in Lagos, Nigeria, and she began her music career as a backup vocalist for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige. She later moved to the United States to study music and songwriting at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Tiwa Savage rose to fame in Nigeria with her debut single “Kele Kele Love” in 2010, and she has since become one of the leading female artists in Africa. She has released several hit songs, including “All Over,” “Ma Lo,” “Eminado,” and “49-99.” She has also collaborated with numerous international artists, such as Beyoncé, Coldplay, and Omarion.
